At the Minneapolis Institute of Arts
Last week I shot some interviews at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts during the opening of a new exhibit: India: Public Places/Private Spaces. The exhibit runs until January 28, 2009 and definitely worth seeing. It is the most avant-garde exhibit in recent memory (maybe ever) for the MIA. Some compelling video installations, interactive work and digital photography provide a rarely-seen perspective into contemporary Indian culture.
The concept is to create an on-going archive of real conversations about art at MIA. These conversations could be seen in TV spots, on the web, or (even better) in-museum installations. it would be pretty cool to have something on display at the museum, even if is not actual art. Or is it?
